The game of golf is a humbling sport. High and low handicappers have all experienced the "blooper ball" which seems to have a mind of it's own. At times it takes real courage to recover from the embarrassment of a lousy shot.

DUFFER'S DEMISE® is a golf course wagering game that is designed to take the sting out of a muffed shot, creating humor. Rather than crying over a badly executed shot, be a good sport and take possession of the game tag which best describes the flight pattern of the objectionable shot. Pass the game tag onto the next player with a similar STRAY STROKE! The last players holding a tag at the end of the round of golf loses the wager and pays the price.

YOU PAY THE CONSEQUENCES!

	HIGH BALL… Player receives this tag when the ball is launched with more loft than length. This high altitude game card will pass to the next duffer who tops the ball with a similar soaring flight pattern.
	WORM BURNER… Player receives this tag when the ball travels too close to the ground or doesn't reach the designated fairway. This down and dirty shot is often in the "rough". The next duffer with a low ball will get this game tag. This gives the common expression, "Hot Shot" a new definition.
	WILD WHIZZY… Player receives this tag when the ball slices or hooks. The ball takes a "dog leg right or dog leg left" while the fairway is designed for a straight shot. The next duffer who is "off course" will receive this game tag …"it's a dog"!
	LITTLE WIENER… Player receives this tag when the putt stops close enough to the cup to inspire such comments as "you could blow it in". This short hitter who leaves the putt within 3 inches of the cup has to keep the game tag until another player leaves the putt short.
	DUFFER'S DEMISE® OFFICIAL RULES are color coded and printed on the reverse of each tag. Players don't want to be holding a tag at the end of the round of golf or they will pay for being the last duffer having a dud shot. Golf's cruelty lay in the fact that every now and then the ball is hit sweet and true…thus we return to the links.
